Millbank Venison

What super weather we had for our open day this year. We think 40 people came along to walk the farm, see the deer and taste the venison.

One arrival we all had a sample of Venison & Champagne pate, followed by a Venison Sausage, seasoned with a hint of garlic and red wine.  We embarked on our farm walk, learning about Fallow Deer in the wild and at Millbank, seeing  habitat damage, our 80 does and fawns, the white buck, and some of the huge diversity of wildlife on Millbank.

Following our walk we returned back to the farm for a demonstration cooking “Wild Rabbit and Cheese Casserole”, “Venison burgers” and “Quick Roast Haunch of Venison”. Everything was tested.
