The fallow season closed on April 30th and will remain closed until August 1st. To enable us to continue to attend some of our regular markets we will use local roe venison.

Roe deer, are abundant in Dumfries and Galloway. They are a browsing deer, eating a wide variety of tree shoots, and herbage. This is reflected in the delicate flavour of the meat.
