The deer are getting very noisy with the does making their characteristic high pitched “fweep” noise and the bucks clashing antlers.

The bucks are beginning to clash antlers, fortunately the common coloured buck we purchased in the Spring appears to be the most dominant. During the rut, bucks will eat very little. The rutting season will go on for 4 to 6 weeks. Timings of the rut only vary slightly across the country due to day length.
